THe dream was over for Linlithgow’s Colin Fleming this week as his streak of doubles wins at the Australian Open ended.
Partnered with Leizel Huber in the mixed doubles he blazed a trail to the quarter-finals before losing to Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza. Earlier Colin and Brit partner Ross Hutchins were knocked out of the third round in the men’s doubles after defeat by American top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan, losing 6-4 0-6 6-2. They will now prepare for a forthcoming Davis Cup match.
