BU boss - pre-season means nothing

BO'NESS United may have suffered two 4-1 defeats in just four days, but boss Allan McGonigal this week stressed that what counts will be how his team fare come the start of the competitive campaign.

The BUs' pre-season opener at Beith may have been a friendly but the Ayrshire outfit didn't extend the pleasantries to the scoreline.

Among the United side facing the West Super League champions were new signing David Love plus Ross Hamilton who joined the BUs from Bonnyrigg on Tuesday.
