Investigations are now being carried out into what caused the stone wall at the entrance of a church to collapse in Bo’ness.

The damage, believed to have been caused by a vehicle striking the wall overnight, was discovered at Carriden Parish Church, in Carriden Brae, in the early hours of the morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9am on Wednesday, April 14, we received a call about damage to the Carriden Parish Church wall, Carriden Brae, Bo’ness.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the damage.”
