A man’s body was discovered at the Avon Aqueduct yesterday, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the area shortly before 2pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police were called around 1.45pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, following reports of the body of a 50-year-old man being found at the Avon Aqueduct near Linlithgow Bridge, West Lothian.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
