Garage fire evacuates homes
AROUND 20 residents had to be evacuated from their homes in Queensferry on Tuesday after a fire broke out at the Hawes Garage, with a potentially explosive gas cylinder inside.
Police set up a 200-metre exclusion zone on Newhalls Road around 4.30pm after the acetylene cylinder was discovered.
