Be skimming device savvy in Bo’ness

CENTRAL Scotland Police and the Falkirk Community Safety Panel plan to visit Tesco, Bo’ness next Wednesday, February 15 from 2-4pm.

Get along to the mobile office and find out about ATM cash point skimming devices and see an active demonstration of how they operate.

This is in response to several such devices being identified in the Forth Valley area recently, including one at the Bo’ness Tesco store.

When fitted by scammers to cash points, the card readers can record information without the user’s knowledge.

Fraudulent activity can then occur on these accounts.
