Watch: Luke Mitchell graffiti plaguing Falkirk area

Yesterday The Falkirk Herald reported graffiti had been sprayed – stating “Luke Mitchell is innocent” and “Free Luke now ” among other things – on a small utility building in Grangemouth’s historic Zetland Park.
Now further slogans referring to the convicted killer have appeared on a bridge over Stirling Road in Camelon and on the banks of the canal and underpass near the world famous Kelpies.

Hide AdLuke Mitchell, who was then 15-years-old, was accused of murdering 14-year-old Jodi Jones in Dalkeith on June 30, 2003. Following a trial he was convicted in January 2005 and sentenced to detention without limit of time with a minimum of 20 years.
A Channel 5 documentary, entitled Murder in a Small Town, was broadcast recently suggesting Mitchell was innocent of the crime.
Police are aware of the vandalism.
