Police divers were called out to the Union Canal in the Redding area of Falkirk after reports came in about concerns for an individual's welfare.

However, Police Scotland confirmed this morning, the incident, which took place near village’s Tesco superstore at around 10.30pm last night, proved to be a false alarm.
