A teenage offender sent a threatening picture of himself holding a baseball bat over social media to scare a boy.

Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Liam Caldwell (19) had pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour – sending messages over Snapchat of him brandishing a baseball bat – to a-15-year-old boy at an address in Falkirk on June 16, 2020.

Sheriff Christopher Shead placed Caldwell, 50 Sunnart Place, Grangemouth, on a community payback order with the condition he complete 70 hours unpaid work within 12 months.
