A PENSIONER in Bo'ness this week said he would be taken to court rather than be made to pay a share of repair costs for a wall on his estate.
For he claims the wall could actually have been damaged by workmen.

Derek Freeman lives at Kinneil where Weslo Housing Management oversees common maintenance.

He is one of 200 private homeowners who have received letters from Weslo.

The letter states that under residents' title deeds, they'll be responsible for a share of any essential works on the exterior pathway walls in the estate.

A structural engineer has been drafted in to do a full survey of the walls, after a Falkirk Council engineer raised concerns about them.

At Hamilton Square, a car parking area remains fenced off where bricks were removed from a wall by the council last month.

For the full story read the Bo'ness Journal on Friday, July 9.
