COMMUNITY service teams will start work on a battered sea wall in Blackness next week after residents clubbed together for storm damage repairs.
West Terrace locals are funding the materials, while free labour will come from two teams of offenders doing projects to pay back something into the community.

But some residents want the council to fund long-term repairs.

Last month high tides and strong winds whipped the wall that sits flush with the road, leaving the top in need of re-concreting and the side requiring reinforcement.

For more information see this week's Journal and Gazette, on sale from Friday, May 7.
