COUNCIL workers are being urged to join a protest march over 1000 proposed job cuts and service charges in West Lothian.

The posts are under threat as West Lothian Council tries to slash £45 million from its budget.

The trade unions have called on employees and local residents to travel to Glasgow on April 10 to take part in a march and rally to protest against the cuts in public spending across the country.
