LETTERS from as many as 30 parents, concerned about reduced place numbers at Kinneil Nursery, were hand delivered to Falkirk Council's education services department on Wednesday.
Some angry parents claim they have been left in the dark about whether their children's applications for next session have been successful saying they have had no official notification. Falkirk Council disputes this claim saying letters went out.

Parents say well-placed sources told them last week that spots in the morning and afternoon sessions at their 'excellent' local nursery were due to be slashed from 30 to 20 and that there'd be one fewer member of staff. Parents held a meeting at Kinneil to discuss the situation on Wednesday morning.

For the full story see this week's Journal and Gazette, on sale from Friday, June 4.
