THE ANCIENT bells of St Michael's Parish Church in Linlithgow have been silenced...but not for long.
The old time-keepers of the Royal Burgh have been stopped so that they can be repaired at a specialist workshop at a cost of nearly £10,000.

St Michael's is looking for permission from the Presbytery of West Lothian for the work to get started later this year, but needs to fundraise for the event first.

For more information, see this week's Journal and Gazette, on sale from Friday, March 5.
