DOZENS of people were evacuated from their homes after a fire ripped through a garage, threatening to explode gas cylinders stored inside.
Firefighters roused residents in a quiet village street late on Saturday night and gave them moments to get behind a safety cordon after the fire rapidly spread.

Seven fire engines and 35 firefighters tackled the blaze at Bell's Mill Terrace, Winchburgh, which completely destroyed the garage and the car parked inside.
