MEMBERS of West Lothian Golf Club have been praised for their fundraising activities to help aid a fellow golfer who suffered a tragic accident.
Margaret McLuckie, who was captain of West Lothian Golf Club's ladies section, fell and hit her head on the steps of Linlithgow Golf Club in August last year in a non-golfing incident.

The blow dislocated her neck and doctors said a less fit person would have undoubtedly died at the scene. Margaret was paralysed from the neck down and now requires round-the-clock care and attention. But she is determined to lead as fulfilling life as possible.

And her remarkable progress continued recently when she was taken back to her home in Redding, near Falkirk, for the first time since the accident to celebrate her 68th birthday.
