HELP is needed this week to identify the family of a soldier who died of wounds in Northumberland War Hospital on October 15, 1918.
Private William Bishop, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Bishop, served with the 17th Royal Scots and was aged 19.
A Bo'ness lady, who wishes to stay anonymous, believes he could have had local links and would be happy to pass on a small memorial card she has found during a house clear out.
It has a decorative front, complete with ribbon, that says 'For King and Country' with a crown and flag emblem.
Inside is a picture of the late soldier and the tribute 'He heard the call of duty and obeyed'. If you are a relative of Pte. Bishop, contact us on 01506 844592 and we'll pass on your details.
Meanwhile, send any old pictures you think would appeal to our readers, with details, to our office at 114 High Street, Linlithgow, EH49 7AQ.
