This past week has been extra special for the pair, with Louann turning 50 yesterday (Thursday 26) and Jan celebrating her fiftieth last Friday (20).
Jan wed Laurence Maher, and Louann his brother Billy, both of Bo'ness and ex-St Mary's RC Primary pupils. The two couples each reached the happy milestone of 30 years' wedded bliss earlier this year.

40 years agoThe South Queensferry company which was given an estimated £70,000 worth of business in the Blackburn Academy project has been cleared by a special county council committee after allegations that the contract had been rigged.
Linlithgow Sheriff Court was told on Wednesday that two Bo'ness men "went to pay their respects to the new parish priest" when they were drunk – and robbed him of £6. Both were charged and fined.
In Run Fountain Park, Bo'ness on Saturday night, six men were seen carrying a chair each. They travelled up the short-cut, stopped, sat down and somebody played a violin. The group then went further up the Run following the same procedure!

60 years agoMrs Park of Hopetoun Terrace, Bo'ness "attended" the wedding of her niece last week in the Old Kirk Church Hall - even though the wedding took place in New Zealand. She went to the meeting of the Women's Guild where her sister showed a colour film of the marriage to members.
Kenneth Campbell of Queensferry, who has been a signalman at Dalmeny Station for the last 22 years, retired last Saturday after nearly 50 years' service.
A local co-operative society pleaded guilty in Linlithgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday to two charges of having imposed a condition of sale. One of their members offered to supply two customers with cooking fat only if they purchased several other items, such as soup, paste and puddings.
At a meeting of West Lothian County Council in Linlithgow, councillors agreed to borrow £620,000 for capital expenditure on housing. Part of the money will replace short term loans and bank overdrafts.
