The Lower Braes representative began a seven days home seclusion yesterday on the advice of his GP, after he became concerned at experiencing viral symptoms.
He said today: “It’s perhaps worth emphasising that others, perhaps with the same symptoms, should be cautious and do the same as I have.

“Stay safe, that’s the main thing. I will be working from home in the meantime so constituents can still get in touch with me”.
Last month Falkirk MP John McNally went into self-isolation after attending the London Bus Fair, where it was later reported one of the estimated 250 attendees was infected with Coronavirus.
Mr McNally - who suffered no symptoms - received the news from an English Labour MP while travelling to a speaking engagement at St Andrew’s University, and promptly returned home.
