FEBRUARY is the start of a national two-month campaign to encourage people to recycle more.

Across West Lothian, there are six road show events to help people learn more about local recycling initiatives and collection facilities. They will also highlight benefits of recycling such as preventing materials decaying in landfill and releasing greenhouse gases.

Robert De Bold, executive councillor for the environment, said: “The road shows are a great opportunity to find out more about recycling and discover the range of items that can be produced from recycled material. We hope that as many people as possible will be able to visit the road show and find out more about how easy recycling is and its importance to the environment. Anyone who can’t make one of the events in West Lothian can learn more by visiting the greener Scotland website: www.greenerscotland.org”
