Take a trip down memory lane in Bo'ness, Linlithgow and South Queensferry
OUR thanks go to Mrs Peggy Dowie (nee O'Neill) for today's photo.
It was taken in a close next to Brady's Bar, where Brae Court in Linlithgow is now. The photo, from 1936, shows, back row: Barbara Archibald, Maisie O'Neill, Agnes Archibald, Mrs Fradley, Helen McKnight; middle row: Jessie McKnight, Margaret Wood, Peggy O'Neill, Ivy Wood, Andrew O'Neill; front row: David Wood, Arthur Archibald, Willie Millar and Jock Millar. Mean-while, Peggy has named everyone in the 1936 Gala Day picture (inset) in our December 25 edition.
The retinue was from St Joseph's Primary, when it was at the Low Port. They were Jim Dunleavie, James Kelly, John Flynn, John Dunleavie, Mary Donoghue, Teresa Caufield, Maisie Aitken, Ann O'Neill, Peggy Kilbride, Helen O'Donnel, Jim McKenna, Claire McCluskey, Betty Black and Arthur Hughes.
