George Allan Memorial Football Festival 1991
WHERE are they now? That's the question being asked by Murdoch Kennedy, organiser of the 20th annual George Allan memorial football festival for local primaries.
This year it takes place at Prestonfield on Sunday, May 16, but our picture dates from the first final in 1991 of St Joseph's and Springfield, showing Mrs Sheila Hastie of Linlithgow Bridge Community Council presenting the trophy to Gary Farmer of St Joseph's. Murdoch, of Lithca Lore, is presenting the man of the match award to one of the Springfield players.
And he has invited everyone who took part in that first event to come along and support this year's seven-a-side tournament next month.
