CAR parking in Linlithgow is set to increase as the green light was given to 90 new spaces this week.
Work on the new parking bays beside Linlithgow Sports Club on Edinburgh Road will start in July and take eight weeks to complete.

West Lothian Council approved the move on Wednesday on the condition that a drop off zone would be provided for those using the sports facilities and cricket club. The tarmac spaces will replace the small gravel car park and area of woodland currently used by Linlithgow Sports Club and West Lothian County Cricket Club.

For the full story and reaction, see this week's Journal and Gazette, on sale from Friday, March 12.
